Visit Rarible and click on the connect wallet option in the top right corner.
Once you select your preferred wallet (MetaMask in our case), a popup window will enable you to complete the process.
Once connected, the site will prompt you to enter your display name and email address and accept the terms of service to complete the sign-up process.
You are now ready to create your first NFT for free.
Click on the “create” button at the window’s top right corner.
Select NFT from the drop-down menu and choose your preferred blockchain network between Ethereum, Polygon, and Tezos. In our case, we chose Ethereum.
You can create a single NFT or multiple, depending on your needs. Let’s go with single for this example.
Now upload your MP3, MP4, WEBP, GIF, or PNG file. Ensure that the file size does not exceed the 100MB size limit.
Once uploaded, preview the file and choose between a fixed price or a timed auction. You must set the price for a fixed price, while a timed auction requires the minimum bid indicated.
Be sure to select the free minting option to ensure the buyer pays the gas fees when minting the NFT.
Fill out the rest of the details as appropriate, and remember to select the percentage of royalties you wish to receive from all future sales. Once done, click on the “Create item” button.
Once the upload process is complete, a popup window from your crypto wallet will prompt you to sign the message. Your NFT is now ready.
