Securitize, the tokenization firm that works with BlackRock on its BUIDL fund, announced on Wednesday that it plans to integrate with the Stellar network, adding another blockchain option for the institutional asset managers that bring products onchain through its platform.
The NYSE-listed company said the integration would let it handle the creation and ongoing administration of tokenized financial products on Stellar. It did not name any funds, issuers or a launch date, saying only that information on supported assets would be shared later. The news coincided with Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s (SDF) yearly conference in Lisbon.

Why Stellar
Carlos Domingo, Securitize’s co-founder and CEO, pointed to the chain’s standing in the real-world asset (RWA) market. “The Stellar network has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets,” he said in the release, linking that position to “the growing institutional demand for tokenization.”
Data from rwa.xyz backs the ranking. As of Oct. 28, Stellar held about $3.77 billion in distributed RWA value, placing it fourth behind Ethereum at roughly $15.9 billion, BNB Chain at $6.3 billion and Solana at $4.9 billion. Franklin Templeton already operates a tokenized money market fund on the network.
Denelle Dixon, CEO and executive director of the SDF, said in the same release that Securitize “has helped establish tokenization as a practical solution for major financial institutions,” and that the two would work together to expand the tools available to asset managers on Stellar.
A Growing List of Chains
Securitize said it was hosting roughly $5 billion in tokenized securities at the end of September, and counts Apollo, BlackRock, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR and VanEck among the asset managers it works with. The firm began trading on the NYSE under the ticker SECZ in July.
Stellar would join a set of networks Securitize already serves. In November 2024, BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, which Securitize tokenizes, expanded from Ethereum to Aptos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, OP Mainnet and Polygon PoS. Earlier this month, the company partnered with South Korea’s LG CNS to explore tokenized funds and stablecoins.
Securitize has not said which product will be the first it issues on Stellar.
