With bitcoin at or close to an all-time high recently, there are many more first-time entrants into the crypto space. This means more inexperienced targets for malicious attackers, according to Charles Guillemet, chief technology officer at hardware wallet maker Ledger.

“There will be more users, more value, and for attackers, this is always a question of opportunity cost,”  said Guillemet in an interview with Unchained at ETHDenver. “Now with new users who are not at ease with crypto, they will make mistakes and so on. And this is an opportunity for attackers,”
