Itai Turbahn, who co-founded wallet startup Dynamic before Fireblocks bought it, said on Unchained Premium that Dynamic’s technology likely sits under some of the money banks move to one another through Fiserv, the banking and payments technology company.

When one bank sends money to another, “they probably use Fiserv as that infrastructure between them,” Turbahn said in the interview, which was recorded around Oct. 15 and was released Oct. 21 as a Premium episode. “That’s powered by our wallet infrastructure too,” he said, adding that the transfers “happened through Dynamic wallet infrastructure.”

Neither Fiserv nor Fireblocks has publicly confirmed a role for Dynamic, and Turbahn did not say which Fiserv product or which transfers he had in mind.

Fiserv’s Digital Asset Platform

Roughrider Coin, a dollar-backed stablecoin from the Bank of North Dakota, is the first live use of the digital asset platform Fiserv announced as live with financial institution clients on Oct. 1. Participating lenders, more than 90 of them across North Dakota, can use the coin to move money among themselves. Fiserv said they will get to it through Commercial Center, the online banking system its institution clients already use to send money between banks. Fireblocks is “providing secure digital asset infrastructure and tokenization services,” the release said, while VersaBank issues the coin and transactions run on Solana. The release does not mention wallets or Dynamic.

In an interview published Oct. 5, Sunil Sachdev, Fiserv’s head of embedded finance and digital assets, told Payments Dive that the company’s FIUSD stablecoin would work with other digital wallets as well as inside Fiserv’s own closed system. Fiserv had not said it was working with any particular digital wallet provider, he said, but expected to have something to share on that before year-end.

Dynamic Inside Fireblocks

Fireblocks announced the Dynamic acquisition on Oct. 23, 2025, saying at the time that the startup’s tools ran more than 50 million onchain accounts. On the show, Turbahn described Dynamic as giving developers “the wallet infrastructure to put in your app,” without users having to handle seed phrases or keys. Inside Fireblocks, he said, those app-level wallets are paired with Fireblocks’ systems for large companies’ treasury operations.

Fireblocks has been adding services for payments firms, including a stablecoin liquidity marketplace it opened Oct. 15.

Turbahn offered the Fiserv example alongside others, including NFT marketplace Magic Eden and Circle’s bridging tools. He said most people “have probably touched Dynamic products in some way” without realizing it was Dynamic, and “without necessarily realizing it’s even crypto.”
